Crime Study Puts Israeli Family Burden at NIS 8,000 a Year

New Hashomer and the Ripman Institute on July 5 published a study estimating Israel's indirect crime and protection burden at NIS 23 billion a year, roughly NIS 8,000 per household. Protection payments by contractors and farmers are folded into housing and food prices, while auto-insurance costs rose 56% in two years. The study also cites threats or extortion reported by 93% of farmers in the Eastern Galilee and 90% in Har Negev. Restoring governance is not only policing; it is a cost-of-living and Zionist land-protection mission.
