Umm al-Fahm Shooting Kills Man After Deir Hanna Murder

Israeli outlets reported July 5 that two Arab-community shootings in northern Israel left two men dead within about an hour. MDA's 04:25 call in Deir Hanna ended with a man about 50 declared dead in his vehicle, and a 05:20 call in Umm al-Fahm left a man about 30 dead and another man, 38, moderately wounded and taken to Emek Medical Center. Police opened investigations in both places, collected evidence and said the background appeared criminal. Israel must treat the Arab-crime wave as a national internal-security mission: lawful Arab citizens deserve deterrence, police presence and streets free of illegal weapons.
