Jerusalem Roads Close for Maccabiah Night Run

Jerusalem will close several major roads from 17:00 until about 23:00 on Tuesday for the Maccabiah Night Run. Traffic advisories list closures on Ruppin, Rabin, Ben Zvi, Hazaz, Lorch, Fichman, Tchernichovsky, S.Y. Agnon, HaRav Herzog, Shota Rustaveli, Museums Boulevard, Elyashar, Brodetski and Balfour, with nearby congestion expected and parking restrictions on Ben Zvi and Ruppin. The race is expected to draw thousands of runners in 5 km, 10 km and half-marathon routes past civic and cultural sites. The run keeps Jerusalem central to the Games' Jewish unity message while residents plan around the traffic changes.
