Matrix Buys Laor Energy Stake to Expand Defense Work

Matrix IT signed an agreement to buy 80% of Laor Energy for about NIS 73 million, adding an Israeli electromechanical and energy-systems specialist to its defense portfolio. Laor Energy, founded in 1993 and based in the Zipporit industrial zone, develops, integrates and manufactures energy, electrical and electromechanical systems for Israel's defense establishment and defense industries. Reports said the company employs about 65 people and posted about NIS 12 million in 2025 net profit. Matrix said the deal will combine its software, cyber, communications and systems-integration capabilities with Laor's engineering and manufacturing, strengthening end-to-end defense projects in Israel and abroad.
