Rafael Seeks India Line for Iron Dome Interceptors

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems is in talks with Indian defense companies to establish an India production line for Iron Dome's Tamir interceptors, according to verified reports. The plan would expand the Israeli state-owned company's manufacturing base beyond northern Israel and the new U.S. Raytheon line, adding capacity for exports, cost control and emergency backup. The reports tie the proposal to India's Make in India defense policy and to broader Israel-India co-production, joint-development and emergency-procurement understandings. For Israel, deeper allied production capacity matters because prolonged missile and drone wars are won not only by technology, but by the ability to replenish interceptors quickly.
