Drone Hits Kuwait Offshore Rig as Three Border Posts Sustain Damage

Kuwait's military said three land-border posts in the country's north sustained material damage Sunday in attacks whose perpetrator it did not identify. A hostile drone separately struck a Kuwait Oil Company offshore drilling rig in Kuwaiti territorial waters, damaging the platform and wounding one worker, who is receiving medical care. The military said authorities responded immediately and the armed forces remain ready to protect the country. The incidents came during renewed U.S.-Iran fighting around the Strait of Hormuz, after Iran said it had targeted U.S.-linked sites in Kuwait and other Gulf states; Kuwait did not attribute these specific strikes to Tehran.
