Hundreds of Officers Raid Suspected Arms and Drug Dealers Nationwide

Hundreds of Israel Police officers, Border Police fighters and special-unit personnel raided dozens of targets nationwide Monday after a prolonged covert investigation. Lahav 433's Agents Department and Etgar unit led the operation, which targeted suspected trafficking in illegal weapons and dangerous drugs. Police said dozens of suspects were arrested and taken for questioning; major targets were in southern Israel and Jerusalem and included Arab and Jewish suspects. The operation was still under way at publication time, and authorities said further details would follow.
