Tax Authority Sends NIS 260 Million Work-Grant Installment to 130,000 Israelis

Israel’s Tax Authority began transferring the first 2025 work-grant installment on Thursday, sending about NIS 260 million directly to the bank accounts of roughly 130,000 eligible recipients. The average payment is about NIS 2,000, although individual grants vary with income, family status, age and number of children. Eligibility covers employees and self-employed people aged 21 or older with children, and people aged 55 or older without children, subject to income and property rules. Applications remain open online, and the program is designed to supplement low wages and encourage labor-force participation.
