An approximately 18-year-old man drowned in a swimming pool at Ein Bokek near the Dead Sea on Saturday. Magen David Adom crews treated him and transferred him by helicopter to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba. He was reported in serious condition, sedated and ventilated during the evacuation. The initial report did not identify him, name the pool or hotel, say how long he was in the water, describe who pulled him out, state whether resuscitation was required, or provide a later hospital update.
