The IDF said 65 graduates completed a two-month combat-company track at Havat Hashomer this week. Many entered the program after economic hardship, legal trouble, imprisonment or repeated absence from their initial draft appointment. Experienced commanders from several brigades and corps assessed whether each participant was ready to carry a weapon and enter combat service while rebuilding trust and discipline. The graduates are now set to receive brigade assignments, including elite formations, with some hoping to join Golani reconnaissance; commanders said their motivation reflects a drive to defend the country and build a different future.
