The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said Iranian strikes destroyed 11 American fighter jets and helicopters while the aircraft were parked at U.S. bases across the region. IRGC spokesman Gen. Hossein Mohebbi said the claimed losses occurred during a 15-day period from July 6 through July 22. He separately claimed Iran destroyed 17 reconnaissance and operational drones, including eight new aircraft, one F-15 in a shelter, a P-8 patrol aircraft, a C-17 transport and eight refueling aircraft. The statement did not provide independently verifiable evidence for the figures.
