Maccabi Haifa said an ultrasound examination Saturday morning found that Brazilian defender Pedrão has a small tear in his groin muscle. The club said he has begun treatment and a rehabilitation process, without giving a timetable for his return. The diagnosis came one day after coach Barak Bakhar said Pedrão had felt only a slight contraction, was fit and did not appear to have anything serious. The medical update changes the club’s initial assessment as it continues preseason preparations for the 2026-27 campaign.
