President Donald Trump convened senior cabinet officials and top national-security advisers on Friday to consider expanding U.S. military operations against Iran. Four people briefed on the meeting said the discussion followed renewed fighting and the collapse of the recent truce and negotiations. Trump had said a day earlier that he was considering an attack larger than previous strikes, while also saying Israel would probably not join a new wave. Israel remains on alert, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to arrive in Washington on Monday for talks with Trump.
