Vega Releases Open Detection Skills Framework Ahead of Black Hat

Israeli cybersecurity company Vega publicly released Detection Skills, an open standard for packaging expert threat-detection, triage and investigation reasoning into reusable AI workflows. The company published the framework through DetectionSkills.io and GitHub ahead of Black Hat USA 2026 in Las Vegas, where it is demonstrating the technology. The initial release includes more than 35 skills developed by Vega Research and a sandbox for teams to build, test and export their own. Vega says the framework works with existing security platforms and keeps system changes subject to human approval, while preserving the evidence and reasoning behind each verdict.
