Hezbollah Bloc Demands Lebanon Halt Rome Talks With Israel

Hezbollah's Loyalty to the Resistance bloc called on the Lebanese government to halt direct negotiations with Israel in a statement issued after its periodic meeting on Thursday. The bloc denounced what it called the authorities' policy of submission, surrender and humiliating negotiation, saying Beirut kept meeting Israeli representatives in Rome while disregarding ceasefire violations. It said the talks had brought Lebanon only further losses and the squandering of rights and sovereignty. It also cited Israel's warning to residents of Mansouri, who were told to leave their town a day earlier, as evidence of what it called the government's failed choices.
