Officials Deny Report That State Attorney Blocked Urich Plea Deal

A report said Central District Attorney Haim Wismonsky agreed with Netanyahu adviser Jonatan Urich's lawyer on nine months of community service in the Bild leak case, with Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara supporting the proposal. It said State Attorney Amit Aisman demanded 12 months in prison, causing the talks to collapse. A joint response from the attorney general and state attorney called the report false. An earlier report in March said both officials had rejected a proposal involving reduced charges and community service, leaving the latest account disputed.
