U.S. Officials Plan Qusra Visit and Ask Israeli Defense Chiefs to Join

A delegation of senior U.S. officials plans to visit Qusra, south of Nablus, within the next few days and has asked senior Israeli defense officials to join. The Americans reportedly want Israeli officials to explain conditions in the village and Israel’s response to recent violence. IDF forces were deployed as settlers remained nearby but outside the village, while residents said access to some homes remained restricted. The military supplied police with dozens of suspect photographs, though police said the material did not identify each person’s alleged conduct. The Shin Bet is working to assemble evidence sufficient for charges.
