Ron Arad Search Focus Moved From Iran to Lebanon, Former IDF POW-MIA Chief Says

Avi Kalo, the former head of the Prisoners and Missing Persons Department in the IDF Military Intelligence Directorate, said Thursday that the long-held assessment placing Ron Arad in Iran has been disproven. Kalo said the intelligence community believed over the years that Arad was held in Iran, and that the center of gravity in the case is currently Lebanon. He said there are certain developments in the affair and that not all of them can be discussed, with details withheld because of military censorship constraints. Kalo placed the mystery in the area between Syria, Lebanon and Iran, and said decades were spent on Iran while the focus is Lebanese.
