Israeli guitarist and musician Matti Gurion, the son of veteran performer Israel Gurion and Miki Gurion, died Friday evening after a prolonged serious illness. His mother announced his death and mourned her son in a family statement. Matti Gurion performed alongside his father, appeared in tribute concerts devoted to the songs of the Dudaim and played in various musical productions. Israel Gurion, 90, co-founded the Dudaim with Benny Amdursky in 1958 and later performed with the Gesher HaYarkon Trio while also working as an actor, mime artist and director.
