IDF’s 402nd Artillery Battalion Drills Before Returning to Lebanon

IDF’s 402nd “Reshef” Artillery Battalion completed a broad exercise in the Golan Heights before returning to operational duty in Lebanon next week. The 215th Artillery Brigade battalion trained from Monday through Wednesday night in mountainous, dense and built-up terrain, practicing rapid fire, complex logistics, mass-casualty incidents and movement under explosive-drone attack. The drill was its first exercise of comparable complexity since the war began, following years without a broad battalion drill. Its commander said lessons from Operation Roaring Lion, when the unit faced dozens of explosive-drone attacks, shaped preparations for deep maneuver and renewed intense fighting in Lebanon.
