Turkey Accuses Netanyahu of ‘Cheap Politics’ After Israeli Rebuke

Türkiye’s Communications Directorate accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government of using “cheap politics” after the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office criticized President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. It said the Israeli remarks lacked historical facts and political seriousness, alleged that election-oriented “security populism” endangered Israeli society and regional peace, and said Türkiye would keep supporting peace, justice and stability. The PMO had called Erdoğan an “antisemitic dictator,” accused him of harboring Hamas terrorists, massacring Kurds, occupying half of Cyprus and imprisoning opponents, and said Israel would not be intimidated by what it described as Turkish aggression against Israel in Syria.
