IDF Reviews Soldiers’ Conduct After Cassif Reports Kusra Confrontation

MK Ofer Cassif said soldiers verbally and physically confronted him on Tuesday when he tried to visit Palestinian families in Kusra. He said footage showed him approaching with his hands behind his back, while soldiers blocked him, pushed him toward his car and accused him of attacking a soldier. The IDF said Cassif arrived without prior coordination, but was allowed entry under the exception for Knesset members. It said the dispute concerned accompanying civilians who were barred from the closed military zone and that the soldiers’ conduct is being examined.
