Two Perth Men Remain in Custody Over Alleged Global TeamPCP Cybercrime Syndicate

Two Perth men accused of leading the alleged TeamPCP cybercrime syndicate remained in custody after appearing in Perth Magistrates Court. Ruben Ian Thomson, 21, withdrew his bail application after the magistrate said she would not grant bail because of evidence-tampering concerns; Louis Michael Gaebler, 23, made no bail application and is due back on September 18. Australian Federal Police say the pair face 14 charges over an alleged software-supply-chain compromise that potentially reached more than 1,000 organizations, exposed over 500,000 credentials and caused hundreds of millions of dollars in remediation costs.
