High Court Freezes State Attorney’s Handling of Sde Teiman Leak Case

Justice Daphne Barak-Erez issued an interim order temporarily preventing State Attorney Amit Aisman from handling the investigation into former Military Advocate General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi and the leak of Sde Teiman security footage. The order preserves the status quo while the court considers a request for an additional hearing on its August 12 ruling, which had cleared Aisman to oversee the case. Barak-Erez said the stay was issued strictly out of an abundance of caution and did not indicate any view on whether a rehearing should be granted. Police completed the underlying investigation in February.
