Tinubu Orders Government-Wide Forensic Audit of Payroll and Federal Agencies

President Bola Tinubu directed Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele to coordinate a government-wide forensic audit of federal payroll systems and agencies. One component will examine IPPIS and related personnel, pension and financial platforms for ghost workers, enrollment failures and control weaknesses, including links with GIFMIS, Remita and Treasury Single Accounts. A second will inventory every federal department, commission, council and parastatal, verify each body's legal basis and review how entities gain budgets, offices and system access. The presidential statement said the team will work with the ICPC and receive relevant records and systems access.
