Flávio Bolsonaro Says He Will Respect Brazil Election Result

In a television interview in Rio de Janeiro, Brazilian senator and presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro said he would respect the electoral process and the result of the October election. When asked whether that pledge applied if he lost, he said he would not lose and predicted victory in the first round. Bolsonaro also acknowledged that his earlier assertion that a Venezuelan company made Brazil's voting machines was incorrect. The interview took place Friday night. Brazil's first round is scheduled for October 4, 2026.
