Israeli Drone Strikes and Demolitions Hit Southern Lebanon

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of dense strike smoke rising across a terraced hillside above homes and trees in southern Lebanon, rendered in warm ochre and slate-blue pastel strokes.

Lebanese reports said Israeli drones struck Nabatieh al-Fawqa twice on Saturday morning, at about 8:55 and 9:40 local time. The reports also said Israeli forces carried out two demolitions near Aita al-Jabal and set fire to homes in Beit Yahoun. No immediate casualties were reported from the new round of attacks. The incidents came during a ceasefire period as U.S.-led negotiations continued over Israeli withdrawal and security arrangements across several southern Lebanese border towns, where cross-border military activity has persisted.
