Columbia Police said Officer Christopher DeLong, 29, was killed and Officer David Dymock was wounded after responding to a domestic-dispute call that led to a gunfight near Southeast Park. Police said DeLong found a person and vehicle matching the caller's description, and Dymock radioed minutes after arriving that officers had been hit and the suspect was down. Dymock was hospitalized in stable condition, while suspect Adam Tyler Dowdy, 33, also died. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is investigating with assistance from the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
