An Israeli tourist in her 80s was hospitalized with multiple facial fractures after a reportedly intoxicated man entered her Paris hotel room around 3 a.m. and punched her, according to reports citing her family and Israel’s Foreign Ministry. Her screams alerted relatives in nearby rooms, who intervened, and French police arrested the suspect. Israeli consular officials are assisting the woman and her family and coordinating with local authorities. The ministry said the known circumstances do not currently indicate an antisemitic attack, while the motive remains under police investigation and the woman is expected to return to Israel for surgery.
