Jerusalem District Committee Approves 950-Home Hashbon Complex

Jerusalem's District Planning and Building Committee approved the Hashbon complex redevelopment in the city center after considering hundreds of objections. The 27-dunam plan calls for about 950 homes, including roughly 200 long-term rentals, in three towers of 41 to 45 storeys and lower buildings. It also provides a hotel, commerce and workplaces, student housing, a public library, a sports hall and a rebuilt Sherman Park, while preserving historic buildings including Beit Pygmalion.
