Jordan’s armed forces said missiles originating in Iran attacked the kingdom, and its air defenses engaged 20 ballistic missiles directed at Jordanian territory. The military said 18 were intercepted and destroyed, while two fell in unpopulated areas. Field assessments found no casualties, and specialized teams began securing debris and shrapnel sites. The armed forces said its surveillance, early-warning and air-defense systems remained on continuous readiness as it monitored Jordanian airspace and responded to what it described as threats against the kingdom’s security.
