NATO Pledges More Ukraine Support After Russian Drone Strikes Near Poland

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte pledged increased support for Ukraine and stronger defenses along the alliance's eastern flank after Russian drone strikes near Poland. Speaking at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Rutte said attacks on trains in western Ukraine close to alliance territory showed Russia was becoming more reckless and trying to sow fear. One strike hit a train near the Polish border after visiting senior officials had passed through the station, according to reports. Poland pledged tighter border security, while EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said the attacks were meant to frighten Ukraine's Western supporters and urged continued backing for Kyiv.
