Trump Says Iran Wants a Deal and U.S. Is Open to Engage

President Donald Trump said the “failing Nation of Iran wants to make a deal, quickly and badly.” He wrote that he would decide whether the United States chooses to engage and added that Washington was open to the concept. The post did not identify proposed terms, intermediaries, a timetable or nuclear conditions. It also did not quote Iranian officials, describe a formal approach from Tehran or provide evidence for the assertion that Iran had requested a deal.
