Groundcover Acquires Tel Aviv Cloud Startup Wand

Groundcover has acquired Wand, a Tel Aviv-based startup whose software automates Kubernetes resource allocation, the company announced Thursday. The deal is Groundcover's first acquisition; financial terms were not disclosed, and Wand's founders and employees will join the company. Wand's system coordinates vertical, horizontal and cluster-level resource decisions, adjusting CPU and memory for running workloads. Groundcover said it plans to incorporate the technology into the data plane it runs in customers' own cloud environments and make the optimization available to its customers.
