IDF Returns Civilians Who Entered Gaza Border Barrier Zone

The IDF said on Thursday that several civilians had crossed earlier in the day into the barrier zone separating Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip. Troops rushed to the spot, removed the civilians from the area and returned them safely to Israeli territory, according to the military. The IDF stressed that the civilians did not enter the Gaza Strip itself. It said the area next to the barrier is a closed military zone where entry is strictly forbidden, and that reaching it endangers both the civilians and the forces operating there. The military did not say how many people were involved or where they crossed.
