Netanya Municipality is cleaning about 10,000 drainage inlets across the city, alongside municipal drainage lines, as part of its preparations for winter rain. The work includes installing about 100 debris guards above drainage openings to keep leaves and waste from accumulating and allow rainwater to flow through the system. The municipality says the citywide work is expected to finish within three weeks at most. The preparations are intended to improve drainage and reduce flooding during rainfall; the program remains under way.
