Missing Israeli Hiker Ami Yogev Found Dead on Mount Olympus

Ami Yogev, a 46-year-old resident of Modi'in who disappeared while hiking on Mount Olympus in Greece, was found dead on Friday after approximately two and a half weeks missing. The Haverim Mehalzim rescue expedition located him after three days searching forested terrain around a streambed with dry waterfalls, co-founder Yiftach Shavit said. Yogev last contacted his family on September 20. Israel's Foreign Ministry said its consulate in Greece and department assisting Israelis abroad had worked with Israeli and Greek bodies during the search and were helping his family coordinate his return for burial in Israel.
