Foreign Ministry Examines Exit Options for Israelis in Northern Ethiopia

Israel's Foreign Ministry said it is monitoring Israelis in northern Ethiopia as fighting intensifies in Tigray and nearby areas. The ministry said it is continuously examining ways for them to leave in coordination with local parties, depending on security conditions and developments on the ground. Several dozen Israelis and other foreign nationals are stranded in the affected area, where airports are shut and travel by road is dangerous. The ministry's update described possible exit routes rather than announcing that anyone had departed the region.
