Nature and Parks Authority Reports About 70,000 Visitors to Reserves and National Parks

The Israel Nature and Parks Authority reported that about 70,000 people visited its nature reserves and national parks across Israel on October 10. Prominent destinations included Yarkon National Park's Afek section, Caesarea, Masada, Tel Ashkelon, Gan HaShlosha and Ein Hemed. More than 5,000 visitors also stayed at the authority's overnight camping sites over the weekend. Popular camping locations included Ma'ayan Harod, Achziv and Hurshat Tal in the north, Ashkelon in central Israel, and Mamshit and Khan Be'erot in Ramon Crater in the south.
