Teva Shares Hit a 52-Week High of $42.02 After Weltruza Approval

Teva's New York-listed shares touched $42.02 during Friday trading, setting a fresh 52-week high after the company announced US approval of Weltruza. The shares were approximately 6% higher at the time of the afternoon market report; that figure was an intraday snapshot, not a closing result. Earlier Friday, Teva said the US Food and Drug Administration had approved Weltruza, a once-monthly olanzapine injection administered under the skin for adults with schizophrenia. The company said the treatment would become available in the United States in the coming weeks.
