IDF Reportedly Plans Separate-Base Training for Women's Armor Pilot

The IDF is reportedly preparing to train women taking part in its Armored Corps pilot at a separate base when the program begins in November. Women would not be assigned to tanks with men and would be required to meet the same training standards as male combat soldiers. The newly reported arrangements include 100 candidates who have expressed interest, with 50 expected to enlist in the coming intake for Armored Corps basic training. The separate-base instruction reportedly followed concerns raised by hesder yeshiva heads about their students' service in the corps.
