IDF Calls Female Officer’s Exclusion From Mount Hermon Outpost an Error

A female logistics officer was denied entry to a Mount Hermon outpost on Tuesday when she arrived with Defense Ministry contractors for renovations to fuel tanks, according to the report. The tanks supply electricity and hot water to the outpost; the contractors were allowed inside, while Haredi soldiers reportedly kept the officer from entering or approaching the surrounding area. The IDF said the exclusion was an error and that she should have been admitted. It said access should have been arranged in accordance with orders while preserving the soldiers’ religious way of life.
