Education Ministry Resumes School Trips in Northern Israel

The Education Ministry said school trips across northern Israel resume on October 15, after the IDF clarified that its policy had not changed. Trips still require coordination approval and compliance with ministry instructions, while schools are receiving renewed guidance against touching unexploded ordnance or suspicious objects. In reviewing the Ma’alot yeshiva trip, the ministry said the approved itinerary contained no prohibited sections, but the group’s actual route and the circumstances remain under investigation. The education minister also ordered the ministry comptroller to examine the incident, alongside the security division’s professional inquiry and the police investigation.
