Ashdod Municipal Paddleboard Team Takes Six Trophies in Sportiada Debut

Ashdod Municipality’s stand-up paddleboard team took six trophies in its first Sportiada appearance in Eilat, according to results reported on Friday. Avi Ben Ari won twice and placed second in the champion of champions event, while Shmuel David won once and Dorit Shoshan and Orel Suissa each finished third. The team competed over three days in different events and age groups. Iris Naftali, chair of the municipal employees’ committee, initiated the team, which is coached by Alexey Potapov; some members first tried the sport about three months earlier.
