IDF Fires Warning Shots During Clash Over Sheep-Theft Claims in South Hebron Hills

Israeli troops fired warning shots into the air to disperse a confrontation in the Maon area of the southern Hebron Hills. Israeli residents alleged that Palestinians had stolen their flock and said they went to the village, where clashes involved stone throwing. Palestinians alleged that Israelis had taken a flock from their village and released footage they said showed Israelis arriving on all-terrain vehicles while carrying long guns. Security forces were examining the incident; the competing theft allegations remained unresolved in the initial report.
