The first-quarter contraction was revised to 1.5% annualized, while first-half growth compared with the preceding half-year was raised to 3.7% annualized from 3.5%. In the second quarter, public consumption rose 22.4% annualized, private consumption increased 14.6%, and fixed investment grew 4.1%. The figures remain provisional because some data are incomplete, with another estimate scheduled for November 16.
