Beer Tuvia Council Backs Request to Regain Timorim Industrial Zone

Beer Tuvia Regional Council’s plenum approved a request on October 19 to return the Timorim industrial zone from Kiryat Malakhi to its jurisdiction. The council said it had originally planned and developed the site before transferring it more than a decade ago. The area subsequently became known as the Kiryat Malakhi 2000 industrial zone, according to the council. It said regaining control would let it lead development aimed at supporting businesses, employment and the wider regional economy, including Kiryat Malakhi. The decision approved a request for a jurisdictional change, rather than completing the transfer.
