Minibus Driver Indicted Over Sorek Junction Crash That Killed Two Teenagers

Prosecutors filed an indictment on October 20 against a 25-year-old minibus driver from Tira over a May crash at Sorek Junction that killed two teenage passengers and injured others. The case was filed in Central District Traffic Court and includes charges of causing death by negligence. According to the indictment, a truck had stopped on the shoulder before slowly merging onto the road with its indicator on, and the minibus struck its trailer from behind. Prosecutors allege the driver failed to notice the truck despite an unobstructed view and requested that his driving license be suspended during the proceedings.
