Miliband Says Istanbul Talks Aim to End Iran War

British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband said he was in Istanbul speaking with regional partners about bringing the Iran conflict to an end. In a video statement published on Friday evening, he linked the war to higher energy and food costs and inflation in Britain. He said the conflict had lasted too long and that Britain could not afford several more months of fighting. Miliband described ending the conflict and easing the burden on British families as the purpose of his diplomatic efforts.
