Zamir Approves Hebron Cordon After Judea Junction Attack

Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir approved a cordon around Hebron and additional nearby villages after the shooting attack at Judea Junction. He made the decision during an assessment with the Central Command commander, the head of the Operations Directorate and other commanders. Zamir also approved increased arrest efforts and stronger intelligence activity in the area. He said substantial ammunition had been found in the attackers’ vehicle and credited the troops’ rapid response with preventing a more serious attack.
